Many of our ExecTones readers are road warriors who live off of a laptop computer as opposed to the desktop. If you’re like us and continually miss the productivity boost you get when your laptop is docked with those dual screens then we have an exciting prototype to tell you about.
At CEATEC this year Kohjinsha is showing off a prototype of a dual laptop screen device. Essentially the two screens slide in behind each other so the overall closed profile of the laptop isn’t any wider although it is a bit on the thicker side. But we believe an extra half inch of thickness is well worth the added convenience of being able to run a dual screen laptop.
This isn’t the first dual screen laptop to be announced. Earlier this year an American based company called gScreen announced their own dual screen laptop called the gScreen Spacebook. The Spacebook actually appears to be slightly more powerful than the laptop being shown by Kohjinsha but both, if they come to life, appear to be devices that will fill a hole in the current laptop market.
