Anxiously awaiting that new Blackberry Bold 9650? Well that wait is coming to an end. Through a variety of sources it appears that the Blackberry 9650 is going to ship on May 16th, 2010. The pricing has not been released but if we go off of the inventory leaks from Sprint then the phone will come in at $199 USD after a mail in rebate. The mail in rebate this time around is for $100 USD. As usual an out-of-contract pricing option will also be available for $449 according to a report from Crackberry.

This phone is the next generation of the Blackberry Tour 9630 released a while ago. There are two key differences that are worth noting:

The old trackpad which so many users reported having issues with is being replaced by a new and improved version.

A version will be sold which does not contain a camera. Of course this is important for enterprise markets.

As always you can’t forget to put a professional ringtone on your new 9650. We think its the first thing you should download on your new device. ExecTones.com can help with this.

The new OS version is 1.1.0 and includes support for emoticons and Microsoft Exchange. But the feature that people are most excited about is the ability to once again sync their Palm Pre with iTunes.

Apple disabled the Palm Pre from working with iTunes just one week ago. In that time Palm actively worked to find a solution and they were able to release one today. If you want to continue using iTunes update your Palm Pre right away.

This battle is far from other and we should expect another blow from Apple in the coming days. Of course if you need Palm Pre Business Ringtones you can download and use those without iTunes.

We see something in the news every day about a drive or archive that gets stolen and suddenly 14 million health care and social security numbers are posted to the Internet. Here is a tip for all of your business professionals trying to keep your data secure, look at a locking external hard drive.

Freecom released a new external USB drive this week that is only activated by an external key. The most commonly used key is a credit card sized keycard which the owner of the drive carries with them to tell the hard drive that it can be accessed. Until the card is swiped you cannot access the external hard drive.

For those in to security they use AES-2 as the security choice for the RFID cards and the security on the external hard drive keeping your files safe and secure even when the drive is stolen. You can’t always prevent someone from taking your USB 2.0 drive but you can stop them by locking the external hard drive so it renders itself useless.

As of the writing of this article the Freecom locking external hard drive was currently back ordered, but more should be on the way so continue to check their website if you are interested.

What you get with your new locking external hard drive:

2 security cards (1 user and 1 master)

USB2.0 interface for connecting with any computer

High quality aluminum enclosure

NO cooling fan for quiet operation

Two year manufacturer warranty and unlimited free help desk support

Windows Mobile 6 ringtones are already pre-installed in the smart phone but soon after you purchase your phone you will realize that the ringtones are not business-professional, they are not clean, and they will not get you a promotion. We recommend purchasing the Executive Package and installing those ringtones.

The Windows Mobile change ringtone instructions are not difficult to follow. If you would like to change the Windows mobile set ringtone which is apparently a little dull, here are some tips on how to change it.

To change your Windows Mobile 6.1 ringtone tap in the Start button.

Tap on the Settings option.

Tap on the Phone option.

When the phone tab opens, select the type of ringtone that you would like to use. You can also select whether you would like to vibrate the phone or not.

If you would like to use your own ringtones, you can copy them in the Windows/Rings folder so that it will be added to the list of options of ringtones.

Windows Mobile 6 allows different formats of ringtone files such as wav and mp3 formats. It is also possible to change a ringtone for a specific contact so that it will be personalized. All you have to do is go to your contacts and select the contact that you would like to have a specific ringtone. Tap on the Edit option and scroll down until you see the Custom Ringtone option. Tap the Custom Ringtone option and select the ringtone that you want for that contact. However, if you are a professional, it would be much better if you have a single ringtone for all your contacts and the tone should be appropriate and professional sounding. You wouldn’t to be heard at public with an embarrassing ringtone especially if you have your subordinates with you. Your ringtone should be appropriate and should remain professional.

Historically, Windows OS users used to find it hard to modify their iPhone because of the incompatibility issues with the Windows operating system and restrictions that come with iTunes.

So do you need the software? The short answer is NO, you should not be using iBrickr. This application is old technology that requires you to break your standard iPhone installation. Its extremely risky and we don’t recommend it. Newer versions of the iTunes software and the iPhone OS make this software obsolete.

What business profession has time to do a full system restore on their iPhone? Most do not and therefore its not worth the risk. Especially given that you can now install amazing ringtone packages from third party vendors such as ExecTones.

ExecTones has a complete package for the iPhone that caters to the business professional crowd. We are the only package on the market today that is serving this iPhone community and serving it well. ExecTones is a best seller around the world.

We will admit that we like the name of their software given that the likelihood it will turn your phone in to a brick is high.

There are essentially two ways to go about getting around this issue. The first and by far the easiest is to simply not upgrade to the latest version of iTunes. We wish we could pass on the fixes that are rolling out in 8.2.1 so you could see if you could live with out it, but Apple has issued a fairly minimal release notes saying things were fixed.

Another option to get around this new block is to use a third party media library syncing tool. There are a number on the market and thus far Apple has not shut them down.

And lastly this new lockout doesn’t have an impact on ringtones. You can still move your ringtone audio to your devices in a variety of ways. If you need professional ringtones we, of course, believe you should choose ExecTones.
