Verizon iPhone Overview

This could be the most authentic and true rumor to date about Verizon iPhone launching soon. According to Bloomberg report which cites, “multiple people familiar with the plan”, the phone will be released in January of 2011.

If this is true, it’s great news for Verizon and Apple, which is believed to have significant pent up demand. Of course this could be another rumor that isn’t true, it could be Verizon trying to get people to hold off on renewing their contract, or it could be true and Verizon could quickly accelerate to the leading iPhone provider. Whatever the case Apple has had an amazingly successful launch of their latest device selling 1.7 million units out of the gate.

One of the reasons that this rumor is still hard to believe is that Verizon has indicated they would want the Verizon iPhone to run on the 4G network. Unfortunately Verizon is still fairly early in the process for deploying this technology.
